[SMM Notice] SMM Newly Launches MHP Coefficient (Benchmarking SMM Battery Grade Nickel Sulphate Price Index)

Dear Customer,

At present, the production of hydrometallurgy intermediate products in Indonesia is in full swing, and the continuous growth of MHP production has also boomed the animation of the spot market. After in-depth research on the market, SMM has decided to launch the item of SMM MHP Coefficient (benchmarking SMM Battery Grade Nickel Sulphate Price Index) starting from September 1, 2022 to go with the transition of pricing mechanism in the market.

1. Assessment (calculation) of published prices

The prices obtained through full collection process will be published in the form of a price index during 10:50-11:00 China Standard Time (“CST”) on each trading day, with SMM Battery Grade Nickel Sulphate Price Index as the benchmark.

2. Unit and form of existence

Nickel content in MHP: ≥ 35% (dry basis)

Unit: /

Form of existence: in the form of a price index (rebounded to the single digit)

Online update: 11:00 CST on each trading day
